Several measures are put in place to help adults with disabilities in their daily lives (housing, transport, work, etc.). To benefit from it, the disability must have been diagnosed by a health professional (general practitioner, psychiatrist...). Once this diagnosis is made, contact a departmental home for people with disabilities (MDPH). It is responsible for assisting the disabled person in his or her efforts.

I can benefit from Disabled Adult Allowance (DAA) if i have a certain level of disability. The AAH is a financial aid that allows for a minimum of resources.

This allocation may be supplemented by the following measures:

Resource Add-on or supplement for independent living
Disability Compensation Benefit (DCP) to cover the additional costs of all kinds related to my disability in everyday life

These devices are cumulable.

Warning

the resource complement is deleted since 1^er december 2019. However, if I received this aid until that date, I will continue to receive it if I continue to meet the conditions for the award.

If I receive other benefits (e.g. disability pension, active solidarity income), I can to benefit in part from the AAH.

If I have taken out an insurance contract to prepare for a supplement to my income, I can benefit from a tax advantage, subject to certain conditions.

If I have at least 1 child and I receive the PCH, I can benefit from a parenting aid which consists of human and material assistance.

Of residential accommodation solutions may be proposed to me on the guidance of the Departmental Commission for Disabled Persons (CDAPH). However, if I prefer a family living space to institutional accommodation, I can choose to be welcomed into private homes.

If I have a home, financial assistance may be granted to me to cover housing expenses, including:

Social housing allowance (SLA)
Exemption from housing tax and the property tax
Telephone social reduction to reduce my phone bill amount
Tax reduction to adapt your home to your disability

In case of need of care, I can use home nursing services.

Work

I can to work in an ordinary environment while benefiting from special measures if i am recognized as handicapped worker.

However, if I encounter difficulties inserting into the ordinary environment, I can integrate a specialized structure such as a establishment and labor support service (Ésat).

The companies of the private sector or the public sector are required to employ a minimum number of persons with disabilities.

as a self-employed person (craftsman, professional...), i can benefit from a aid for the severe handicap to compensate financially for the consequences of my disability on my job (e.g. accompanying a tutor).
