At the end of renting a vehicle purchased with a lease, you can choose to retain the vehicle or return it to its owner.

You must also have a digital copy (photo or scan):

  • Proof of domicile less than 6 months (in the case of joint holders, proof of the person whose address will appear on the gray card)

  • Copy 2 of Cerfa form n°15776 for the declaration of transfer of the vehicle
  • If your vehicle is more than 4 years old, proof of valid roadworthiness test, unless the vehicle is exempt from technical inspection.. The technical inspection must be less than 6 months old on the day of the gray card application. If the deadline is exceeded, you will have to carry out a new check at your expense.

The administration may ask for a certificate of insurance of the vehicle, as well as the driver's license of the holder of the gray card corresponding to the category of the vehicle registered.

You must also provide information, including:

  • the identity of the holder (and possibly co-holders) of the gray card (name, given names, sex, date and place of birth, telephone number and e-mail address)

You must submit the following documents:
